Your Soy Pumpkin Spice Latte May Not Be Vegan

Depressing. Huge let down Starbees… So listen up Starbucks, vegans would like to drink your Pumpkin Spice Latte.  Quit adding the crap like condensed milk and please start serving up some vegan lattes.

Let’s be real for a second…We all get aches and pains here and there but some of us have big problems in our bodies that go unnoticed or talked about. In my case, I decided to go vegetarian halfway through high school just by choice and never felt better. Within the last 2 years, I was forced into an almost complete vegan diet because of intolerances to dairy products. And even now, I’ve been told to eat gluten-free for the next few weeks (or as long as it takes to heal) unless I want to endure pain by eating what I’d call “normal” foods. Normal foods are what pretty much everyone else it seems to be able to eat and not have a single problem. It didn’t make sense why these allergies would just “happen” to me randomly, but for some of us it comes on from lack of nutrition, over medicating when sick, or not having essential things you need in your body to digest properly.I believe mine came about because I never did take care of my body until I went vegetarian, and for a while after going veg, I had no idea that I wasn’t eating the proper things that I needed to be. I have always been fascinated with nutrition ever since I finally got sick of terrible, gross food…from growing up on tv dinners and fast food my whole life. What I have discovered is that it is definitely more widespread than I thought and tons of people deal with these same issues. I came to realize that it is not life or death if I can’t join my friends out to dinner all the time because they don’t have anything to accommodate me, or I at least know how to order.Long story short, a lot of illnesses begin in the stomach. Believe it or not, more than just stomach pain and digestive issues, headaches, sleepiness & fatigue, acne and skin problems, dizziness, anxiety/panic attacks, irritableness, IBS, ADHD, Autism and dementia, and more are all things that start in the stomach from improper digestion. It’s really scary actually when you realize what it can lead to by taking any kind of drug, and also not changing your diet NOW. So if you’re having any issues throughout your body more than once or twice you might want to reevaluate your diet.So I want to pass along how very very important it is to take care of yourself and recommend a book that I have found explains all of it better than a lot of other books I’ve read. It called “The UltraMind Solution.”  It gives you a look at how everything you eat effects your entire body, and even gives you a run-down of what you need to eat for a couple of weeks to rid yourself of these problems and get back on a healthy track. Yea, snack, I love my sweets too, but in moderation. Be smart!<3
