I’m well aware that I’m being pictured on the Lydia tour posters, so I thought I’d post it here that I am definitely not on that tour, and will not be on tour with Lydia again. I’m sorry for those of you who have emailed/tweeted/etc me disappointed that I am not at the shows, but I was never aware that I was on them, and frankly…not sure why. I love you guys so much and appreciate all the incredible support. You’re so freaking amazing! So lovely to meet you guys on our current STATES tour and can’t wait to meet every single one of you. Thank you for keeping me strong.

A new States song called “Can’t Explain” can be streamed here. The band will be releasing their debut record, Room To Run, on October 18th. States will be touring with Circa Survive this fall to support the record.

Lydia - “We Clean Up So Well”
I am anxious to say this, in that I do not like disappointing anyone. But I do need to get this off my chest. The new music that is set to come out this July 2010, under the name Lydia, is going to be the last recordings ever put out by the band. We are very grateful to have been able to put out as much music as we have and to reach so many people. I assure you this is not something I’ve decided over a few months, but more so in the past year. This has been something I’ve been thinking about for quite some time now and it’s just the right place and time for me to move on to other things and projects. I know Steve and myself have really enjoyed performing for all the people that have come out to a show over the last several years. And I can’t even begin to explain all the amazing people I’ve met while being a gypsy traveling around the country, unbelievable.
This decision has nothing at ALL to do with a lack of output from the band. I can honestly say the new Lydia material coming out in July is the best music I’ve ever had the opportunity and privilege to release. This release IS the best music the band has or will ever put out.
One last thing. Lydia has amazing fans. I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve seen Lydia artwork and lyrics tattooed all over you guys. So I thought it would only be right to do one last goodbye/farewell tour along with the new music coming out. For how much you ladies and gent’s have and will support us it’s really the only thing to do. It will be a FULL US tour, and if it doesn’t come to your city it will surely come to a city near by. The dates will start this summer on JULY 20th and go into late August. The exact dates will be up in the coming weeks.
So we will see you ONE last time with new music in both our hands. The very last Lydia music being released will come to you in early JULY, and the very last tour will be at your door step in JULY/AUG.
I can’t even explain how much fun I’ve had while performing in all of your cities. And calling YOUR city home for the night. I am grateful to have met every one of you wonderful people. You truly have affected my life in ways you will never know.

Please go see the guys this summer! and just to clarify for those asking, I will not be apart of this last record that they’re about to release. Nor will I be doing the tour with them due to recording/working on my new solo project, STATES (http://www.statesmusic.com).
I DO wish the best of luck for them and the tour. I know we have had the most incredible fans I’ve ever seen. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet most of you through the last 4 1/2 years playing in Lydia. I sure hope you guys will go on to follow our future projects as well. Love you guys :)
Hi all,
I’m writing to announce something that seems to have been slowly circling around the last few weeks. To those who’ve been wondering; I am, in fact, parting ways from Lydia. I have to say how INCREDIBLY hard this is for me to do. It feels more like losing my own child than just an occupation, but when you have such a passion for something and the path you’re on to pursue that is filled with difficult obstacles, or has no heart behind it, you have to question it. I must say that there are no hurt feelings between the band and I. Those guys are like my brothers and honestly, I can’t wait to see the things they will go on to do.
I am GENUINELY sorry to those friends who might be upset about this, but please do understand that it’s something I merely have to do at this time. I hope you can moreso go on to support this decision and know that you guys are the only reason I’ve even made it this long. I can also assure you that I am not, by any means, done playing music! I guess everything eventually runs it’s course, and for me with Lydia, that time has come.
I love you all more than I can even explain.

Here’s my version of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” featuring Anthony Green. Stephen Laurenson from Copeland did the music, and also Dan Schwartz from Good Old War added some acoustic guitar. Hope you guys enjoy it! It was so much fun to do and I feel really blessed to have worked with such awesome friends and fellow musicians!
It’s half of the original version of the song, cause we thought the original way was a bit too long and repetitive. haha This ones just fun and to the point.
